New Semester Checklist - Finances

Before the beginning of each semester, students should complete the following tasks to ensure a successful start to the academic term:

  • Check to access important updates and announcements
  • Explore to plan ahead
  • Log in to to review and complete to-do list items as soon as possible
View Student Account
  • Visit the 鈥淪tudent Account鈥� tile in to:
    • View tuition and fee changes, anticipated aid and remaining balance due
    • Confirm refund preference through the 鈥淩efunds鈥� menu option
    • Select the Save & Soar tuition plan through the 鈥淪tudent Account鈥� menu if you are an incoming Texas resident freshman who is interested in it
Submit Documentation
  • Submit any required documentation for:
    • (Adoption, Firefighter, etc.)
    • (Texas Promise, employee sponsor, etc.)
    • (Post 9/11 GI Bill, Hazlewood, Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment Program, etc.)
Review Financial Aid/Scholarships
  •  financial aid award using the 鈥淔inancial Aid & Scholarships鈥� tile in . Accepting your awards will allow you to see them in pending aid on your my91快活林 Term Summary.
    • For grant or scholarship aid, select "Accept" to confirm acceptance of the award
    • For federal loan aid, you have an option between "Accept" or "Decline" for the full amount and an option to reduce the amount of the loan
  • Review your my91快活林 "Tasks" tile to ensure that all tasks have been completed.
View/Pay Bill
  • in full or for the semester using the 鈥淪tudent Account鈥� tile in *
  • Access the 鈥淰iew and Pay Bill鈥� menu option in the 鈥淪tudent Account鈥� tile to complete the Refund Policy Acknowledgement and review Tuition Insurance Policy coverage for the semester through 91快活林鈥檚 partnership with
  • Schedule an appointment with for budgeting and financial coaching sessions

*Note: No payment action is required if 鈥淎nticipated Aid鈥� exceeds the balance for the semester and no balance exists from a prior semester.
